Dallas Arts District Block Party: Changing Perspectives at Dallas Arts District
Celebrating Dallas Arts Month, Dallas Arts District is hosting its annual Changing Perspectives Block Party, in partnership with AT&T Performing Arts Center (AT&T PAC), featuring three performances by Dallas’ own Dark Circles Contemporary Dance (DCCD) and IMPULSE, an interactive installation, comprised of twelve LED seesaws that experiment with light and sound when activated by the public. The free block party takes the arts to Flora Street in the Dallas Arts District from 6pm-midnight, on Friday, April 12.
Enjoy must-see performances on the Sammons Community Stage, AT&T PAC campus and throughout the festival footprint. Nab your spot in and around Sammons Park to see DCCD perform an original work that physically engages with the interactive seesaws at 8:30, 9:15 and 10 pm.
A free community celebration, the block party will also feature performances by Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s Brass Ensemble, Dezi5, Tippy Balady and other local artists. In collaboration with Dallas Arts District partners, crowds enjoy gourmet food truck fare, local brews, a photo booth, and a community mural.
