Farmers markets will be going all out Saturday and Sunday, their last days before Hanukkah on Sunday and Christmas next Wednesday. From the Four Seasons markets to Cowtown in Fort Worth, growers, food artisans and others will be bringing out their holiday best.

Here’s a sampling from Coppell Farmers Market of the kinds of goodies you’ll find:

Hazel’s Kitchen, which makes beautiful baked goods from scones to Italian rainbow cookies, has special seasonal paint-your-own cookies that come with little dots of frosting “paint” and a paintbrush.

Triple-layer holiday bark from Joe the Baker, whose real name is Joe Baker: white chocolate, dark chocolate, and more white chocolate peppermint bark, which he dresses up with pistachios, candied orange peel and sea salt. “It’s my favorite thing I make all year,” he says.

Wackym’s Kitchen’s holiday cookie flavors include egg nog, dark chocolate orange, ginger lime and mocha chocolate chip. Paul Wackym is also bringing plenty of party-friendly Hatch chile cheese nibbles and gift tin and basket assortments.
