During the hot summer, young moviegoers can take a break from the heat and enjoy a different movie each week as part of kid-friendly summer movie series at North Texas theaters. Titles are a mix of classic and nearly new G- and PG-rated favorites. Admission prices are minimal, and some theaters throw in special deals on kid-size concessions. Cinemark Summer Movie Clubhouse

Studio Movie Grill Children’s Summer Series

The Children’s Summer Series runs through Aug. 4, Monday through Thursday mornings, with a different title each week. Admission is $6 for each film and includes a small popcorn and a small drink. Find a theater near you at

Alamo Drafthouse Kids Camp

Regal Summer Movie Express

Admission is $2 per movie for Regal’s summer series. Two movies are featured each week, with screenings on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at Regal UA Galaxy Theatre, 11801 McCree Road, Dallas.

Kids Dream Family Film Series

The summer film series runs through Sept. 1 at Movie Tavern locations in Arlington, Bedford, Denton and Fort Worth. Family flicks start at 10 a.m. on Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays. Admission is $3, and kid-size popcorn and fountain drinks are $3 each. Find the location of your choice here.

Wylie 12 Summer Kids Series
