The Texas Education Agency makes public the SAT and ACT scores for all public high schools in the state.
We’ve taken that data and ranked the 50 top-scoring schools in the state from the 2015-2016 school year, regardless of their size — based on the total mean SAT scores for the reading and math portions of the test that students recorded during the 2015-2016 school year.

As you click though the top-scoring schools, keep in mind that the highest total that can be scored for each portion of the SAT is 800, with the lowest score being 200.
In total, North Texas is home to 16 of the 50 top-scoring high schools, including No. 1 Texas Academy of Mathematics & Sciences in Denton.
