Independence Day Parade and Reception

Independence Day Parade

The celebration begins with Irving’s community parade, which features over 80 entries by community organizations, businesses and families, including floats, costumes and custom vehicles.

The parade will begin at 9 a.m. July 4 at Sowers Street and Irving Boulevard, near Millennium Park.  This year, the theme of Irving’s annual parade and reception will be Continued Commitment to Our Troops – Show Them We Care. Participants can show their pride by decorating floats or walking in groups to honor members of the U.S. military, historical landmarks and notable American figures.

Complete the online Parade Entry Form by Tuesday, June 26 to be a part of the parade; participation is free!  All parade participants must complete a Parade Waiver Form; waivers must be submitted prior to July 4.  Each parade entry must send a representative to the Mandatory Parade Meeting on Wednesday, June 27 at Irving City Hall, 825 W. Irving Blvd.
