Description: The day begins with a Butterfly Costume Parade that starts at East Wall and Jenkins Streets. Registration for the Costume Parade begins at 8:45 a.m. Pets are welcome to participate. The Costume Parade begins at 10 a.m. in the lot at East Wall and Jenkins Streets and ends at the Grapevine Botanical Gardens. There will be prizes awarded for best costume in different age groups. After the parade, participate in butterfly crafts, butterfly exhibits, the Migration Station, interactive games, a scavenger hunt, face painting and other activities in the Botanical Gardens. Refreshments are available for purchase.

Charlie Brown’s Birthday at the Dallas Arboretum

The TBA Band performs Saturday and The Monkey Love Band performs Sunday. The Berkner Ramblers perform at noon in the Entry Plaza on Saturday, and The Texas Boys Choir perform on the DeGolyer Pergola at 1 p.m. on Sunday. The Volunteer Advisory Board is onsite to capture keepsake photos (for donations) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. all weekend. End the weekend with a special night screening of It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown at 7 p.m. on the Martin Rutchik Concert Stage and Lawn Sunday evening.

Meet new creepy crawly creatures in Rainforest Adventure including a legless lizard and crocodile skink. Learn some frightful fish facts during daily educational talks around the aquarium and be on the lookout for scary skulls hiding inside the tanks.
