When it’s cold outdoors, the Dallas Zoo offers a daily discounted admission price of $8. Visit the African penguins along with other animal friends during the Penguin Days promotion, which runs from January 6 to Feb. 29.
Special activities through Jan. 31:
• Get to know the Zoo’s African penguins with daily keeper chats and feedings at 10:30 a.m. at the Don Glendenning Penguin Cove.
• Learn how to protect these endangered birds at the Penguin Conservation Station daily from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., at Penguin Cove.
• Experience an African penguin meet-and-greet daily from 2:30-3 p.m. outside of the Wonders of the Wild amphitheater.
