The holiday-themed event will run from November to January in Arlington.

Globe Life Field will trade out a baseball diamond for an ice skating rink this November for a new holiday event.

Luminova Holidays is bringing over 2.7 million lights, a 10,000-square-foot ice skating rink, a 65-foot Christmas tree and more to the baseball stadium from Nov. 20 to Jan 3. The holiday experience will be the first event open to the public at the new stadium, according to the city of Arlington.

Festivities will occur inside and outside of the stadium, and in total about 270,000 square feet will be devoted to the event. Along with plenty of photo opportunities, Santa and his elves will make an appearance.

Tickets for the holiday-themed event go on sale Oct. 9. For more, visit Luminova Holiday’s website.

This isn’t the only non-baseball event being hosted at the stadium. Earlier this month, the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo set it sights on Globe Life Field to host the annual rodeo event.
