I think we can all agree that 2020 will be one for the history books. While the year ended well for real estate, it found many of our clients scrambling to adjust. I have lived through many real estate markets in my 30 years, both up and down, but this one has all of us baffled. I have never seen less homes to sell. I understand the reluctance to sell your home not knowing where you will go but I have never left anyone homeless in all my years so we can figure that out. I have also never seen interest rates lower and am amazed they continue to stay that way. I encouraged many of you to take advantage of this phenomenon to refinance and lower your payments or get rid of PMI.
My industry has experienced more change in the last 10 years than in the previous 30. Innovation and quick adoption has been the mission of my team. Providing unapparelled service to our clients is a constant endeavor. I am so thankful for the continued support, referrals and business so many of you have sent my way. I am especially honored to have assisted many of your children as they have moved into home ownership. There is no greater compliment that referring family and friends to my team.
A wise person once said “Love what you do and do what you love and you will never work a day in your life.” I have been able to live that life. I love real estate and I love my clients.
We will now put 2020 in the rearview mirror and move forward to 2021 with new lessons learned from our experiences and appreciation for people and things we might have taken for granted.
Onward to a healthy and fun filled new year.
