The Texas-shaped pool opens for its 60th summer season with a Memorial Day pool party and participation in the National Moment of Remembrance at 3 p.m. Miss Collin County/Miss Texas and now reigning Miss America Brooklyn Rivera will be the emcee for the Remembrance ceremony. She’ll sing the national anthem following a flag ceremony presented by local scouts.

The snack bar will be open, food trucks will be parked on the street and the grills will be available for your hot dogs and burgers. Coolers and camp chairs are permitted; no alcoholic beverages allowed.

Admission priority is given to Texas Pool members; visitors admission is $10.
