Sean Kenney’s Nature Connects Made With Lego Bricks at Fort Worth Botanic Garden

The Fort Worth Botanic Garden presents “Sean Kenney’s Nature Connects Made with Lego Bricks” through Aug. 1, 2021. The exhibit includes 15 structures, including a hummingbird feeding from a trumpet vine blossom, a monarch butterfly perched on a blooming milkweed, a family of ducks, a woodpecker, a praying mantis, a bald eagle, a snake, a sundial and a gardener kneeling to work.(Brook Burris)
Thousands of colorful plastic toy blocks have been snapped together to create sculptures of things at home in the gardens. “Sean Kenney’s Nature Connects Made With Lego Bricks” features 15 structures, including a hummingbird feeding from a trumpet vine blossom, a monarch butterfly perched on a blooming milkweed, a family of ducks, a woodpecker, a praying mantis, a bald eagle, a snake, a sundial and a gardener kneeling to work. The sculptures are placed within the Fort Worth Botanic Garden’s more than 100 acres of grounds, and many are stationed along the main pathways.

Free with garden admission, which is $12, $10 for seniors 65 and up, $6 for ages 6-15, free for ages 5 and under. Parking is free.
