September events invite dogs to dive in.

Dogs can swim and slide and enjoy other features of the aquatic park. Admission is $10 per dog with two dog limit. Concession stands will be open. Proof of your pet’s vaccinations and current rabies shots are required and must be shown upon entering.
Aug. 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Central Aquatic Center, 715
The Friends of Rowlett Animals invites doggies to take a plunge in the pool. Tickets are $10 per dog, free for humans. Each dog must have current rabies tags or proof of vaccinations.
Aug. 15 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Wet Zone, 5304 Main St., Rowlett. Pooch Plunge tickets.
Your fur baby can swim in the pool and compete for treats and prizes in contests such as best tricks, best costume, longest jump and fastest ball retrieval. Vendors will be on-site with pet merchandise and services. Admission is $4 per dog, humans are free. Proof of rabies vaccinations is required. Pre-register at Frederick P. Herring Recreation Center, 191 Civic Circle, Lewisville by 5 p.m. on Sept. 5.
Sept. 11 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Sun Valley Aquatic Center, 801 South Valley Parkway, Lewisville. Doggie Dive-In
Hawaiian Falls Waterpark in The Colony hosts a luau-themed splash party with doggie swims, contests, games and prizes. A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Colony Animal Shelter Injured Animal Fund. Icy treats, drinks and other concessions will be available for purchase. $17.99 for an advance ticket that includes one person and up to two dogs; increases to $21.99 at the gate. Printed proof of your dog’s vaccination is required.
