10-acre 5G Farms has just a few pumpkins to sell you, starting this weekend.

Try, about 6,000 of them.

The 10-acre McKinney farm, which also doubles as barbecue destination and source for organically grown pasture-raised poultry, eggs, pork and produce, is gearing up for its second year.

The pumpkin patch opens at 11 a.m. Friday, owner Brian Giles said.

In addition to the pumpkins, hay rides, baby goats, a corn maze and barbecue will be available for visitors, said Giles, who owns the farm with his wife Debbie.

Outside vendors will be on-site Fridays through Sundays.

The patch will be open Wednesdays through Sundays, through Oct. 31.
