PEROT MUSEUM OF NATURE AND SCIENCE

The Perot Museum of Nature and Science, home to 11 permanent exhibit halls and various traveling exhibitions throughout the year, delivers hours of fun for children, adults and life-long learners alike. Catch a view of Downtown Dallas from the museum’s glass-encased elevator as you work your way up to the top floor and back down and stop by the earthquake stimulator before taking on a virtual Olympic athlete in a race.

DALLAS MUSEUM OF ART

Established in 1903, the museum is a central figure in the vibrant Dallas Arts District in Downtown Dallas. Holding more than 22,000 works spanning 5,000 years of history, the DMA is one of the 10 largest art museums in the country and welcomes more than 650,000 visitors annually. Enjoy its diverse spectrum of exhibitions, lectures, concerts, literary events and presentations.

THE GEORGE W. BUSH PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY AND MUSEUM

Opened in 2013, the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum holds the largest electronic records collection in the entire Presidential Library system with more than 200 million email messages and nearly four million photographs. Visit Freedom Hall, a high definition video wall montage of the 44 U.S. presidents, and a full-sized replica of the Oval Office. The museum and an accompanying 15-acre urban park reside on the campus of Southern Methodist University, the alma mater of former First Lady Laura Bush.

The largest of its kind in the Southwest, the Dallas Children’s Theater reaches an estimated audience of 250,000 youth annually and is constantly revving up its wide range of family-friendly productions to provide quality shows to spectators. DALLAS FIREFIGHTERS MUSEUM

Home to the city’s oldest remaining fire station, Fair Park Fire Station (1907), this site, now museum, offers a glimpse at the important history of fire rescue. Personally see how horse-drawn steam pumps used to battle blazes in the 19th century have evolved into the equipment used today.

TEXAS FIRE MUSEUM

Visit the Southwest’s premier interactive fire museum which educates the public about fire safety and preserves the heritage of fire services. The museum features over 60 antique fire vehicles, hands-on attractions, and a souvenir shop.
