FARM TO FAIR
The State Fair of Texas is a celebration of all things Texan – including its rich livestock and agriculture heritage. Every day of the Fair there is an array of fun and educational livestock adventures to be enjoyed by guests of all ages. Discover all there is to see and experience below and don’t forget, all Fairgoers are welcome to tour the livestock barns. Check the daily schedule for more information on what animals are being shown on a particular day.

DISCOVER AGRICULTURE ON THE FAIRGROUNDS
Come see experts share their knowledge about the animals in the barns. This daily talk show-style presentation is tailor-made for the animals that fairgoers will experience when touring through the livestock barns. Guests are encouraged to ask questions, and then take a Guided Livestock Tour.
Located in United Ag & Turf Alley at 12:00 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
LIVESTOCK BIRTHING BARN
Experience the miracle of life right before your eyes in the Livestock Birthing Barn. This unique educational experience, exhibiting the incubation and birthing process of various livestock animals. With agriculture and education as the Fair’s foundation, the new Livestock Birthing Barn highlights the agricultural importance of breeding livestock and its role in our everyday lives. Stop by the Livestock Birthing Barn, located at Nimitz and MLK, to learn more about the birthing process.
Open Daily from 10 am to 7 pm.
ANIMALS IN THE BARNS
Do you know the difference between a broiler, pullet, hen, cockerel, or rooster? Sharpen your skills and learn all about terms and phrases used on the farm.
BREEDS OF LIVESTOCK
Did you know the State Fair livestock exhibitors show more than 15 different breeds of cattle, nine breeds of sheep, rabbits, and even llamas? To see when each breed competes and when they are in the barns, visit the daily schedule.
