Families can visit Galleria Dallas’ Santa Claus in Santaland, which starts with a conductor welcoming ticket holders aboard a train car. They’ll exit the front of the train to step onto a walkway that leads to Santa’s cabin where he’s ready to hear wishes and pose for photos. Then visitors are transported back to the Galleria — unless they also bought tickets to Snowday, a holiday-themed display for photo-taking fun. In that case, they take a shortcut through Santa’s closet to enter Snowday’s small-town streets. Step into different storefronts for unique backdrops such as an all-white space with excellent lighting for portraits and a new optical illusion room. Every place in Snowday is designed for taking festive photos. A handful of them are also equipped with the designers’ proprietary setup of professional lights and cameras triggered by scanning a wristband, which results in photos being emailed to you.
