A great place to get indoors for a while is the Sea Life Grapevine Aquarium! This aquarium features over 5,000 sea creatures, interactive touch pools, and a 360° ocean tunnel that makes you feel like you are underwater!

Become a sea turtle expert

Learn about the threats turtles face in the wild and experience first-hand the process of successfully rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing sea turtles. Don’t miss the working turtle hospital and say hello to our most recent patient.

  • Scotti, one of our resident sea turtles can be found at the Sea Turtle Rescue Center exhibit!
  • SEA LIFE Grapevine is the first SEA LIFE in the US to be permitted to rehabilitate sick and injured sea turtles and release them back into the wild through partnerships with the Animal Rehabilitation Keep, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and other Texas coastal sea turtle hospitals.

360 degree Ocean Tunnel

Take a stroll under the sea as you pass through our amazing underwater ocean tunnel. Shoals of glittering fish flutter along beside you while sharks, rays and our rescued green sea turtles glide slowly over your head!

  • Haggard, our male nurse shark, weighs approximately 150 lbs!
  • SEA LIFE Grapevine is home to seven species of shark!
  • The ocean display is 160,000 gallons of water and at its deepest is 15 feet!

Interact with real sea creatures

Rockpools are made from water left behind when the tide goes out. Many of different creatures live in these shallow pools – they all need to be tough to adapt to different temperatures and waves crashing over them!

  • Sea stars have hundreds of tube feet that they use to crawl along the ocean floor or rocks
  • Anemones are filter feeders, dining on plankton and any other creatures that swim too close and bump into their stinging tentacles
  • Depending on the species, sea stars can have more than the traditional five arm

Stingray Bay Exhibit

Discover Stingray Bay and be mesmerized by our happy and smiley rays. Let their upbeat nature take your cares away in this relaxing and magical space.

  • Stingrays strong teeth are great for crushing food such as crabs, clams, snails, oysters and some fish
  • Rays evolved from sharks more than 150 million years ago
  • Rays like to bury themselves in the sand and use this as a way to hide from larger predators

Explore the depths of the Amazon

Enter the mysterious world of the rainforest where unique creatures lie hidden around every turn. Meet our two caiman Mulder and Scully, or if you dare venture through the Piranha Tunnel

WHOA – You Need to SEA This!

  • Mulder and Scully are the smallest species of caiman, they are called dwarf caiman.
  • Piranha will make a barking sound when they feel threatened!
  • Seneca, our Reticulated Albino Python, is 13 feet long!
