Overview
The Texas theatre announces the return of Bishop Street Ballet with their original production, The Nightmare Before Nutcracker. Through a blend of classical ballet, ballet folklorico, and acrobatics, the dancers will take you on a journey from Halloween Town to the Land of Sweets as two iconic worlds collide in a dark and twisted take on the classic Nutcracker tale. Former Dallas news anchor Midge Hill is your narrator and guide as you step into a realm of mischief and fantasy with Jack and Sally dancing alongside eerie skeletons and mischievous ghouls as the Sugar Plum Fairy and Cavalier. Don’t miss this one of a kind performance for ages as the hauntingly beautiful melodies of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite intertwine with the hauntingly eerie tunes of Danny Elfman’s iconic score. Following the performance, enjoy a live DJ, projection art, and a Halloween raffle in the lobby! But, be sure to refill your popcorn and return to your seat in the theater for the 30th anniversary screening of the classic Tim Burton film, The Nightmare Before Christmas.
