Whether you’re looking for Pride celebrations, Father’s Day weekend activities, World Cup watch parties, live music, or family-friendly events, this weekend across Dallas–Fort Worth offers plenty of reasons to get out and explore. Here’s a simple guide you can adapt for the Dallas Native Blog.
Dallas Highlights
Kick off the weekend with some of the biggest events happening around the city.
Pride in Bloom – Dallas Arboretum (Saturday, June 13)
One of the most beautiful Pride celebrations in North Texas returns to the Dallas Arboretum this Saturday. Pride in Bloom features live entertainment, local vendors, community organizations, art, music, and special evening programming throughout the gardens. The daytime celebration runs during regular garden hours, with a separately ticketed Twilight Pride event later in the evening.
FIFA World Cup Fan Experiences – Fair Park, Trinity Groves & Frisco (June 12–15)
World Cup fever has officially arrived in North Texas. Fair Park’s FIFA Fan Festival is hosting match watch parties, concerts, exhibits, giveaways, and fan experiences throughout the tournament. Additional viewing parties and fan zones are operating at Trinity Groves, Legacy Hall, The Star in Frisco, and locations across DFW. If you’re looking for energy, crowds, and a reason to wear your favorite jersey, this is the place to be.
Riverdance 30 – Texas Trust CU Theatre, Grand Prairie (June 12–14)
The world-famous Riverdance 30th Anniversary Tour makes a weekend stop in DFW. Whether you’ve seen it before or never experienced it live, this production combines Irish dance, music, and storytelling in one of the biggest touring shows of the summer.
Saturday Festival Circuit
Saturday is packed with events that can easily fill an entire day.
Gospel on the Green – Fair Park (Saturday, June 13)
As part of Black Music Month programming, Gospel on the Green brings live performances and community celebration to Fair Park. This outdoor event features nationally recognized gospel talent and is a great addition to a Saturday festival itinerary.
Dallas Farmers Market Father’s Day Weekend Celebration (Saturday, June 13)
The Dallas Farmers Market is hosting a Father’s Day weekend event featuring live music, food vendors, family activities, shopping, and local makers. It’s a relaxed way to spend a Saturday afternoon before heading to dinner or a World Cup watch party.
Don Toliver: Octane Tour – American Airlines Center (Saturday, June 13)
One of the biggest concerts of the weekend lands in Dallas as Houston native Don Toliver brings the Octane Tour to the American Airlines Center. Expect a packed arena and one of the hottest tickets in town.
Father’s Day Sunday
Sunday is all about celebrating Dad.
Father’s Day Brunch & Patio Day
Many Dallas restaurants will be offering Father’s Day specials throughout Uptown, Lower Greenville, Bishop Arts, Legacy West, and Downtown. If you haven’t booked reservations yet, now is the time.
Dallas Arboretum or White Rock Lake
If Dad prefers experiences over gifts, keep things simple with a morning at White Rock Lake followed by lunch nearby, or spend a few hours exploring the gardens before the summer heat peaks.
World Cup Watch Parties
For sports-loving dads, Sunday’s matches provide the perfect excuse to grab food, find a patio, and spend the afternoon with family and friends at one of the many World Cup fan zones around the metroplex.
Monday Fun
Texas Rangers vs. Minnesota Twins – Globe Life Field (Monday, June 15)
Baseball is always a solid way to start the week, and the Rangers continue their home series against Minnesota at Globe Life Field. It’s a great post-work outing and a perfect extension of Father’s Day weekend.
World Cup Week Continues
Monday also brings another round of World Cup festivities throughout Dallas, Frisco, Arlington, and Fort Worth as international fans continue arriving in North Texas for the tournament.
How to Use This Weekend Guide
Choose one signature event (Pride in Bloom, Riverdance, or a World Cup Fan Festival), one Father’s Day activity, and one spontaneous neighborhood outing. Add a patio, brunch, or live music stop along the way and you’ve got a weekend that feels like summer in DFW.
