Riverfront Jazz Festival

The Black Academy of Arts and Letters (TBAAL) has assembled another all-star lineup for its fifth annual Riverfront Jazz Festival which will take place in downtown Dallas, Labor Day Weekend, Friday, September 2 through Sunday, September 4, 2022 at The Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, 1309 Canton Street, Dallas, TX 75201. One of Dallas’ largest cultural arts institutions whose mission is designed to promote, foster, cultivate, perpetuate and preserve the arts and letters of the African American, Caribbean and African experience in the Performing, Literary, Visual and Cinematic arts, created the festival to support its youth Arts-and-Education programs and the institution’s long term sustainability. 

The festival lineup of 25 major musical acts include: Erykah Badu, Avery Sunshine, Dianne Reeves, Michael Franks, Natural Change, Eddie Palmieri, Incognito, Spyro Gyra, Eric Benet, Bob James, Cameo, Robert Glasper, Marion Meadows, Alex Bugnon, Gerald Veasley, Poogie Bell, Karyn White, J.J. Sansaverino, Boney James, Jazzmeia Horn, Kim Burrell, Cory Henry, Keith Anderson, Hiroshima, Shelley Carrol, Keith Anderson, Mark Simmons, Bobby Sparks, Members of Dallas Symphony Orchestra featuring B Slade with Guest Conductor, John McLaughlin.
